Maybe some of you have noticed that i havent been very active the last few weeks. If you are interested in why, keep on reading, otherwise, just going to tell you that it will still for a week or so, but i am going to be back soon.

now the reason is first that i got my passion for photography again. Got some new equipments (flashguns, filters, tripods etc.) and some new modells willing to play around a little. So got less time for painting, more time for playing around, and photoshopping the results.

the second is i got a strong cold for 2 weeks. Almost cured again now, but i wasnt able to do shoots for a week and unable to do anything on pc for longer than an hour those days.

Yes now i finally got it. After experimenting so many months with some old and new graphics card drivers for my lenovo T61, i finally found one with which the OpenGL functionality of Photoshop is supported. Before today, it was really a pain painting hairs which runs horizontally from left to right or otherwise, even with the tablet. Its easy to paint those up and down, as you just have to move your hand with the wrist controlling your movement, but from left to right? You got to move your whole arm, and that almost never succeds in many hairs looking like each other.

Now finally with the fully running Photoshop, i can use the rotate canvas functionality, which gives me the freedom i always wanted, to rotate the picture as i paint the hair so i always have just to paint up and down

Gonna probably going over some older paintings just to give them the finishing touch of the hair
